Today I had a funeral which goofed up my schedule at the hospice units. After the funeral I was on my way to one of the units, when suddenly I thought, “No. I think I’ll go to the one in Scottsdale instead.”

When I arrived Connie burst into tears. I had played for she and her ten-year-old daughter two years prior at a Phoenix unit. I had sung "You are Mine and put in her daughter Rachel’s name. She had  purchased my Heavenly Harp CD.

Connie shared with me. “I must have played that CD through fifty times non-stop. It was the thing that kept my head where it needed to be. Then once after the song  “You are Mine,” Rachel slipped away totally peacefully. I thought to myself, ‘It couldn’t have been any more beautiful!’

“Have you sensed Rachel’s presence since that time?” I asked.

“Oh yes. She’s everywhere! For a long time I was frustrated because I couldn’t dream about her, but when we were on a vacation at the beach she came to me in a dream and jumped in front of my face and said, 'Boo!' Since that time I see her in my dreams and she is always walking, which she could never do before. I also see her every day in many ways.

The day she died after you sang “You are Mine” on the CD, we got into the car to go home and there was a sultry (jazz) piece on the radio. My husband told me to turn it off, but I said, ‘no, she would’ve liked this piece.' (She always liked my music because that was what she was stuck listening to).

One year later to the day, I was driving in my car when the same piece came on. I looked down at the clock and it was the exact same time! When I pulled into my parking spot at work, I stepped out of my car and there on the ground at my feet was a little angel charm. I felt this was a gift from Rachel, because no one else parks in my spot!”
